With the CMS-20, you have at your disposal an extremely efficient computer-designed connector repair system to service most of the power connectors on-board fixed and rotor wing aircraft. The CMS-20 System takes the guesswork out of making repairs on connectors with machine-type contacts.
Organized
A big advantage you have by using CMS-20 is the organization it brings to your workstation. Enclosed in the durable polyethylene case is a customized tool compartment complete with individual recessed pockets molded specifically for each tool. All tools are numerically coded in each recess, which means you no longer have to reach to the bottom of a crowded tool box to find the correct tool.
With its unique computerized, cross-referenced guide, you simply locate the connector part number and the guide will identify the following:

Mil-Spec connectors and qualified manufacturing sources
(ie: Cannon, Bendix, Amphenol, Deutsch, Souriau, etc.)
Front or rear release type
Contact part number
Size and type of contact (covers 22M through 16 AWG)
Wire strip length
Proper crimping tool (either for machine-type contacts, insulated terminals or butt splices)
Correct insertion tool
Correct removal tool
Unwired contact removal tool
Grommet seal part number

In addition, the cross-referenced guide is attached to the inside cover compartment which can be positioned as an easel for easy access and referencing.
